Benefit for Jessi Block

There will be a benefit for Jessi Block that is being held at the Little Falls Ballroom on Dec 7th, 4:30-8:00pm. Santa is Stopping By, there will be a play area for kids, A Silent Auction and Bake Sale. Jessi Block is from the Long Prairie area and was injured in a car accident October 1st. Jessi was in a medically induced coma for several days and also suffered a stroke during that time. She had a fractured eye socket, lacerated liver, broken shoulder, bruised lungs, multiple broken ribs and suffered a traumatic brain injury. Due to the stroke, her left side is partially paralyzed and will require months of physical therapy. After 3 long weeks in the Intensive Care Unit, Jessi was able to come home to her boyfriend, Michael, two sons, Jonathan (13 yrs old) and Lawrence (12 yrs old) and her 1 year old daughter, Zoie. Since 2009, Jessi has been a member of the MN Army National Guard as an Automated Logistic Specialist. She was deployed to Kuwait/Iraq during 2011-2012 and was part of the last troops to leave Iraq. Currently Jessi works at Camp Ripley with the USPFO and due to her hard work and dedication, was recently promoted from an Administrative Assistant into the Internal Review Division.
