A truck driver suffered serious injuries after he hit two cows in the roadway and then crashed in west-central Minnesota on Sunday. The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened shortly before 11 p.m. on County Road 29 near the intersection of 13th Street Northwest in Lake Andrew Township. The driver, a 22-year-old man from rural Pennock, drove into the ditch after hitting the cows and struck a tree. Authorities say his vehicle then rolled onto its side, pinning him inside the truck. The man was still able to call 911 and was extricated with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
