On September 29, at approximately 2:45 p.m., the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of County Highway 125 and Fort Thunder Road west of Perham. A 65-year-old male motorcycle driver was traveling westbound on Fort Thunder Road and failed to stop at the intersection then struck a pickup truck that was traveling on County Highway 125. Life saving measures were given to the motorcycle driver by the initial caller and by first responders upon their arrival but were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup was uninjured from the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
