On Thursday, July 9, at approximately 9:57 p.m. a semi was facing eastbound on Highway 87 near milepost 15 in the process of backing into a residential address on the northside of USTH 87, when a 2019 Subaru Outback that was traveling westbound drove underneath the semi trailer. The 63-year-old male driver of the semi sustained no injuries. The 62-year-old female driver of the Subaru was pronounced dead. No further information is available at this time.
