A large agricultural structure filled with hay bales was destroyed by fire early Saturday morning, August 8, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded at 2:36 a.m. to a report of a structure fire on 600th Avenue, south of State Highway 210. Arriving personnel found an approximately 45-by-100-foot structure fully engulfed in flames. Fire departments from Deer Creek, Hewitt and Wadena assisted in extinguishing the fire. No other buildings were damaged, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
