A house in Otter Tail County was “heavily” damaged and may be a total loss following a fire. Crews responded to the 55000 block of Co Hwy 56 shortly after 5:00 am on March 14 to a report of a structure fire. According to a release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, two people and several animals escaped the blaze before crews from New York Mills and Perham arrived to put the fire out. The cause of the fire is believed to be non-suspicious in nature and is under investigation by the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office. This marks the seventh house fire in Otter Tail County since January.
