Man Dies After Being Hit By Semi While Riding On A E-Bike

A 79-year-old Pequot Lakes man driving an e-bike died this Tuesday afternoon when he collided with a semi truck. The victim’s name will not be released until sometime today (Wednesday), but the Minnesota State Patrol says the semi was southbound on Highway 371 near County Road 29 and was moving to the southbound lane. The e-bike was on the southbound shoulder and then came across all lanes and was struck by the semi. The driver of the semi, identified as 36-year-old Jonathan Thompson of Deerwood, was not injured in the crash.
