An 83-year-old Illinois woman was rescued after a near drowning incident in Otter Tail County. On July 13, deputies responded to the 14000 block of East Eagle Lake Drive south of Battle Lake for a medical emergency at around 8:28 p.m. The woman dove into the lake and was struggling to swim and had difficulty breathing. Bystanders were able to get the woman out of the water and to shore. She was transported by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries.
