A Bemidji man is facing an assault charge after a shooting at a north Bemidji apartment complex late Sunday night left one person injured. At approximately 10:39 p.m. Sunday, Bemidji Police were dispatched to the 2400 Ridgeway Avenue North after a report of an individual with a gunshot wound. Officers arrived to find a 27-year-old man who had sustained a single gunshot wound to his shoulder. He was transported to Sanford Health for treatment. Officers canvassed the area and located three shell casings in the parking lot of the Kestrel Pines apartment complex. 20 year old Terrance Jones, of Bemidji, was arrested in connection with the investigation. Jail records show he is being held on suspicion of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. Formal charges have not yet been filed. The investigation remains active.
