Two Vehicle Crash Kills Both Drivers

A crash in Itasca County killed two people on Sunday afternoon. The Minnesota State Patrol reports that one vehicle was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 169 and another vehicle was northbound when they collided near Victory Lane in Harris Township, located just south of Grand Rapids. 24-year-old McKenna Christensen of Luck, Wisconsin was driving one vehicle and 83-year-old Carole Rose Wiss of Grand Rapids was driving the other. Both victims died at the scene and were the only occupants of their vehicles at the time of the incident. Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the crash.
