A traffic accident early Friday morning sent a Verndale man to the hospital with injuries. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2015 Freightliner semi, driven by 43 year old Dennis Lindner of Verndale was traveling southbound on County 26 and a Ford Excursion, driven by 65 year old Steven Olmscheid of Brainerd was traveling westbound on Highway 10 when they collided. Both men sustained non-life threatening injuries, but Lindner was transported to Staples Hospital. The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted at the scene by Wadena and Todd County Sheriff's Offices and Verndale Fire.
